PRRD again calls to the CPP-NPA to surrender

President Rodrigo R. Duterte renewed his call to the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) members to surrender.

“Pareho talaga kayo ng Abu Sayyaf. No different. Ako pa sa inyo mag-merge na lang. Totoo iyan .You want money to come to your hands through or by virtue of the blood and tears of other Filipinos. Sinisira ninyo ang bayan. (You are the same with the Abu Sayyaf [Group]. No different. If I were you, I would merge [the groups]. That’s true. You want money to come to your hands through or by virtue of the blood and tears of other Filipinos. You are ruining the country),” the President strongly stated.

President Duterte assured that the government will provide aid to rebels who will return to the folds of the law such as housing, livelihood, and education for their children. – PTV News
