PRRD gives deadline for frontiners’ aid distribution

President Duterte has given concerned agencies until Tuesday, June 9, to finish the distribution of the government’s financial assistance for frontliners affected by Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

According to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, a report has reached the Chief Executive that the financial assistance under the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act
has not yet been distributed. He wants immediate action on the matter.

Frontliners who have acquired COVID-19 in the line of duty are entitled to Php 100,000 cash aid while families of frontliners who passed away shall receive PhP 1 million.

Meanwhile, Roque added that the government is studying a third-month aid for jeepney drivers who have lost their livelihood due to the community quarantine.
