PRRD gives updates in 9th report

President Rodrigo Duterte in his ninth weekly report to Congress said 24 hospitals “are currently participating in the World Health Organization Solidarity Trials” and there are 157 patients or enrollees.

The report showed “a total of P21.7-B cash grants has been released to 2,816,682 employee-beneficiaries for the first tranche of the Small Business Wage Subsidy Program” as of May 20, 2020.

“As of May 20, 2020, the GSIS has released total net proceeds of P3.8-B in Emergency Loans to 220,533 active members and old-age pensioners,” a part of the report added.

Regarding returning OFWs, the report said the Department of Tourism (DOT) has screened and identified 737 hotels nationwide that have allocated 44,871 rooms for them.

Based on the report, “the DOT also reached out 941 non-accredited accommodation establishments for their temporary operation as quarantine facilities for returning OFWs and have confirmed 6,516 rooms.”

The Chief Executive also provided a summary of donations, status of supply of various agencies, and the funds of the government.
