Davao, July 14 – President Rodrigo Duterte personally welcomes the delegates of the 11th Ambassador’s Tour at the convention center inside a mall here, yesterday night.
The president also extended his gratitude to the to the delegates for their contribution and urged them to be an instrument to strengthen the tourism and economy of the country.

The 5-day tour which started last July 11 focused in Metro Manila and Davao city destinations.
The said event aims to attract foreigners to visit the country specifically Metro Manila and Davao City and experience the unique culture of the two cities.
Also, the tour aims to let the world know that the Philippines is a safe and a good tourist destination.
In his speech, Duterte said that his main duty as the president is to defend and protect the country against whoever tends to destroy it.
Duterte further said that he will not allow corruption and abuses in his administration.
197 delagates from the North America came in for the said event and will be Filipino Ambassadors to share their good experiences and fresh perspective when they go back to the states.

The Ambassador’s Tour is spearheaded by the Department of the Foreign Affairs and the Department of Tourism-Promotions Board and was first launched in 2005 as Ambassadors, Consul Generals and Tourism Directors Tours.
The host city of the 4-day tour is the president’s home and dubbed as the King City of the South.
