PRRD identifies former BOC official for alleged involvement in corruption

President Rodrigo Duterte publicly named in his recent public address former Bureau of Customs (BOC) official Atty. Teodoro Jumamil for his alleged involvement in corruption.

President Duterte disclosed that he had long urged Customs Chief Rey Leonardo Guerrero to dismiss Jumamil but it was delayed since his service was still needed by the former.

“I have to name him publicly for being… Ano ba ang tawag ko sa iyo? Sa Bisaya na lang. P***** i**, balasubas ka eh. Alam mo bakit? Bisaya ka (What do I call you in Visayan? You are a fraud. You know why? You are a Visayan),” he stated.

“Ang mahirap sa iyo sa panahon ko (What was difficult is that in my time), you took advantage, maybe because you helped me. And I want you to repay by just closing my eyes. I could not understand why he was holding DBP director at the same time he was an employee of the Customs,” he added.

President Duterte clarified that the BOC Chief has his trust although he was nearly replaced for not firing Jumamil.
