PRRD joins nation in mourning the death of ex-President Aquino

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte joined the nation as it mourns the passing of former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III on Thursday (June 24).

In a statement, President Duterte extended his condolences to the family, friends, and loved ones of the late president.

““His memory and his family’s legacy of offering their lives for the cause of democracy will forever remain etched in our hearts,” he said.

Duterte also called on Filipinos to “unite in prayer and set aside differences” in respect for ex-President Noynoy Aquino.

“Let us all take this opportunity to unite in prayer and set aside our differences as we pay respects to a leader who has given his best to serve the Filipino people,” he said.

PNoy passed away in his sleep on Thursday morning at the age of 61.
