PRRD leads destruction of over ₱7B contrabands in Cavite

President Rodrigo R. Duterte led the destruction of over 1 million grams of crystal meth or shabu worth more than ₱7 billion in Trece Martires City, Cavite on Thursday.

President Duterte asserted that this move is an “affirmation of our determination to put an end to this menace that has caused miserable harm to millions of individual users” as he pointed out that a “family becomes totally dysfunctional” when one member is affected by drugs.”

He assured that they will continue to work harder to “suppress supply of narcotics in our streets” and to “prevent our country to be used as a transshipment point for illegal drug trade in the Asia Pacific region.”

He enjoined authorities to “remain steadfast in our campaign not only by intensifying our operations against drug trafficking but also by reforming our criminal justice system and addressing the root causes of drug abuse and dependency.”

He saluted the law enforcement agencies for their “undying patriotic fervor.”

“I salute you because you understand the problem and you worry about your country… Together let us make a drug-free Philippines, the greatest legacy we can live behind to our children and the succeeding generations” President Duterte encouraged.
