PRRD: No corruption in vaccine procurement

President Rodrigo R. Duterte asserted Monday that there is no corruption in the government’s procurement of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine.

President Duterte dared critics saying “they were able to obstruct or prevent corruption because of their timely [intervention]”.

According to the President, whoever can present an evidence of anomalies in the vaccine procurement must reveal themselves and talk to him.

“Mag-usap nga tayo, iyong tayo lang. Kung sinong nagsabi niyan, please rise and be brave enough to say that you are the one. I’d like to talk to you. (Let’s talk, just us. Whoever said that please rise and be brave enough to say you are the one. I’d like to talk to you).”

The Chief Executive insisted that there is no money involved in the negotiation, only meetings.

“Walang hahawak ng pera riyan actually (There will be no one handling the money)… and they are still trying to pick the brains of Galvez looking for something which is not there at all.” – Report from Mela Lesmoras
