PRRD offers P30,000 reward for information against corrupt LGUs

President Rodrigo Duterte has offered PhP 30, 000 reward for anyone willing to give factual information on Local Government Units (LGUs) pocketing government aid amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) crisis.

According to the President, it is important that government aid reaches the families who gravely need it especially in times of crisis.

Meanwhile, the Chief Executive urges LGUs to allow the return of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to their respective hometowns.

He also dissuades health workers who wish to work abroad.

“If I send you to a warfront, the enemy is the COVID, the microbes, eh parang — maawa ako. (I will feel pity) I do not… Please do not misunderstand me. I am making it clear now. I do not want you to go there and come back in a coffin. That’s my only argument if you may because you are Filipinos at mahal ko ang mga buhay ng kababayan ko. (I love the lives of my countrymen.)” President Duterte has stated.

He has asked the Department of Justice (DOJ) to study the legality in preventing them to leave the country.
