President Rodrigo Duterte has signed into law the proposed extension of the validity of the 2020 national budget and the Bayanihan to Recover as One (Bayanihan 2) Act.
The signing of Republic Act No. 11520 will give way to the utilization of the remaining fund of the 2020 budget until December 31, 2021.
Republic Act No. 11519 will also extend the effectivity of Bayanihan 2 Act until June 30 this year.
President Duterte initially certified as urgent the two measures to address the prevailing pandemic and to support economic recovery amid the impact of the health crisis. – PTV News
