PRRD signs AO Nos. 35, 36 for additional benefits of health care workers

President Rodrigo R. Duterte signed Administrative Order Numbers 35 and 36 that will provide additional benefits for health care workers amid the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

Under AO No. 35, President Duterte ordered the provision of another wave of Active Hazard Duty Pay for health sector employees. It covers individuals designated in facilities responding to COVID-19 including regular, contractual, and casual civilian employees, health personnel under contract of service and job order as well as registered barangay health workers.

Workers can receive up to Php 3,000 depending on the number of days they have worked from September to December.

Under AO No. 36, the President ordered the granting of COVID-19 Special Risk Allowance to both private and public health workers who directly interact and care for COVID-19 patients. The allowance is worth Php 5,000 per month and is pro-rated from September to December. – Report from Mela Lesmoras
