PRRD tells NPAs: Don’t interfere with vaccination

President Rodrigo Duterte told New People’s Army rebels in his latest public address to avoid meddling with the government’s COVID-19 vaccination program as he called on the public to get their jabs.

Duterte made the statement after proposing a house-to-house vaccination program amid the reported expiration of millions of vaccines this July.

I-deliver natin ang vaccines sa bahay-bahay, sa bukid. Kayong mga NPA, huwag ninyong barahin ang mga tao na aakyat diyan, especially the health workers,” he said.

“Kung gusto ninyong magpabakuna, okay lang. Walang problema,” he added.

 

Duterte also recalled his call to rebels to surrender to the government in exchange for a better life.

“You surrender, drop your weapons, tapos mag-usap tayo, may bahay kayo, may trabaho. The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority [TESDA] would teach you new skills that you do not know,” he said. AG-gb
