PRRD to lead PNPA’s 43rd graduation ceremony

President Rodrigo Duterte will join as the keynote speaker of the Philippine National Police Academy’s (PNPA’s) 43rd Commencement Exercises in Silang, Cavite on Thursday, April 21.

A total of 229 cadets of the ALAB-KALIS (Alagad ng Batas na Kakalinga Sa Sinilangang Bayan) Class of 2022 are set to graduate. Among the 201 males and 28 females who will be in the service of the Philippine National Police (PNP) as lieutenants is this year’s class valedictorian and Presidential Kampilan recipient P/Cdt Ernie A. Padernilla.

Meanwhile, the Bureau of Fire Protection and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology will each gain new 11 inspectors from the graduates.

Joining the top 10 with P/Cdt Padernilla are P/Cdt Regina Joy Belmi Caguioa, P/Cdt Shermaine Domingo Lee, P/Cdt Fidel Elona Triste III, P/Cdt Geneva Limjuco Flore, P/Cdt Zoe Compleza Seloterio, F/Cdt Neil Winston Navalta, P/Cdt Mhar Dum-Ayan Viloria, P/Cdt Collyn Mae Dimazana, and P/Cdt Alyssa Angalan Bantasan.

The graduation is seen as a good opportunity for the force of the PNP in intensifying its security enforcement in the upcoming May 9 elections.

Duterte has repeatedly called for peace and order to prevail in the upcoming elections through the service of PNP and other uniformed personnel.

This year’s event will strictly follow the minimum public health standards recommended by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases. Every attendee is advised to observe social distance and to wear a face mask. – Reports from Mela Lesmoras and Veronica Corral -ag
