PRRD visitors to undergo COVID-19 rapid testing in Malacaῆang

Malacaῆang has tightened health protocols for those who want to meet President Rodrigo Duterte.

Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said all visitors of the Chief Executive must now undergo COVID-19 rapid testing as an additional measure to temperature check and filling out of health declaration forms.

Roque clarified this is part of the security measures amid the health crisis. This is fast and cheaper compared to PCR-based kits.

“We make no apologies for the fact that we are protecting the life of the President,” Roque reasoned.

“Gagamitin po natin ang lahat ng resources na kaya nating gamitin para protektahan ang presidente, dahil ang presidente po ay hinalal ng taumbayan para mamuno sa kanila lalong-lalo na sa panahon ng krisis tulad nito (We will use all resources we can to protect the President . He was elected to lead them especially in times of crisis like this),” he added.

Roque said no one is exempted from the protocol and that he also underwent the process.  – Report from Mela Lesmoras
