PRRD visits Pimentel Jr.’s wake

Upon arrival from Japan, President Rodrigo Duterte proceeded to the wake of the late former Senate President Aquilino “Nene” Pimentel Jr. at the Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig City.

The Chief Executive joined the loved ones of Pimentel Jr. for two hours. The Pimentel family appreciated the efforts of Pres. Duterte to go to the wake of his friend and political ally despite the unbearable pain in his spine, the very reason why his Japan trip was cut short.
Presidential Daughter Inday Sara Duterte attended the emperor’s banquet last night, October 22, 2019, on behalf of her father. She was able to speak with Japanese Emperor Naruhito, his wife Empress Masako, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and other world leaders. This evening, she attends the prime ministers banquet.

Meanwhile, Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo has assured that Malacañang will be transparent with the public regarding the results of the President’s medical consultation.
