The unhampered passage of the 2021 budget was the condition given by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte during his meeting with House Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano amid the ongoing house speakership dispute.
Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque shared Cayetano and his wife Lani, together with his sister Sen. Pia Cayetano, joined the pray over organized by Deputy Speaker Brother Eddie Villanueva on Wednesday.
President Duterte also reiterated that the term-sharing issue between Cayetano and Velasco is an internal matter of the Lower House. He likewise respected the decision to dismiss the resignation of Speaker Cayetano. – Report from Naomi Tiburcio
