PTV chief De Castro visits Cebu for Visayas Media Hub preps

People’s Television Network (PTV) General Manager Katherine Chloe de Castro visited Cebu on Wednesday (July 14) in line with preparations for the construction of the government’s Visayas Media Hub.

Among the activities conducted were a site inspection and briefing about the construction of the new government media facility.

De Castro was joined by several PTV Engineering Department officials, PTV Cebu employees, and Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) personnel.

The four-storey building will house Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) divisions such as PTV, Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Philippine News Agency (PNA), and Radyo ng Bayan.

The PCOO confirmed earlier this year its plan to build the Visayas hub, following the establishment of the Mindanao Media Hub that began full operations on March 18, 2021.  – Report from John Aroa/AG-jlo
