PTV launches The Chatroom with PCOO Secretary Martin Andanar

As the country moves closer to the May 9 elections, People’s Television (PTV) has partnered with the Commission on Elections (Comelec) and Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) to give voters a closer view of candidates with a new talk show, The Chatroom.

Hosted by Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, The Chatroom will air for an hour on Saturday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights at PTV and on all other PCOO platforms beginning March 17, 2022.

“We want the candidates to use the government’s communication platforms to inform the public of their platforms and agenda. For us in PTV and PCOO, that is the best service we can give our voters to help them decide whom to choose as the country’s next leaders,” Andanar said.

For its pilot episode, Andanar chats with presidential candidate Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso on his plans and programs for the country should he get elected.

The succeeding episodes will be the conversations with other candidates, including Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. (March 19), Senator Manny Pacquiao (March 22), and Ka Leody De Guzman (March 24).

On Thursday, the pilot episode will air from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on PTV and other PCOO platforms.

The show allows every guest candidate to present their administration platform, discuss their views on select issues, present their policies and programs, and the kind of leadership they are bringing in.

You can watch the premiere telecast at PTV nationwide, simultaneously published online via PCOO’s social media assets. (PTV)
