PUV drivers receive cash assistance as part of SAP

4,175 public utility vehicle (PUV) drivers have received cash assistance from the government under the Social Amelioration Program (SAP).

It is only the first batch of PUV drivers in Metro Manila that the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has released, and they will soon release an additional list of drivers in other regions.

The LTFRB has reiterated that the driver’s license and photocopy with two signatures are needed to get cash assistance.

If the license is confiscated, the driver can present a temporary operator’s permit, government I.D. and photocopy with two signatures.

The list of the drivers entitled to the cash assistance is posted on the LTFRB’s website. – PTV News
