QC starts infra projects for Typhoon Lando affected areas

The Quezon City government has donated a total of 29 million pesos for the re-construction of government infrastructure damaged by typhoon Lando in 2015 in the municipalities of San Miguel in Bulacan, Baler in Aurora, and Bambang in Nueva Vizcaya.

On Tuesday, 11 July 2017, Mayor Herbert Bautista represented by Acting Assistant City Engineer for Operations, Robert Beltran and Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office chief ground Micheal Marasigan, together with San Miguel, Bulacan Mayor Marivee Mendez-Coronel broke ground to symbolize the start of the construction of a two-storey school building in San Miguel.

According to Engineer Beltran, the rehabilitation projects donated by the Quezon City government will start and are expected to be finished within 90 days.

Among the funded projects are the concreting of the farm to market roads of Barangays Partida, Barangay Malibay and Barangay Calumpang in San Miguel, Bulacan totaling P22.5M; repair/rehabilitation of a public market and the Baler Sports Complex in Barangay Suklayin in Baler, Aurora worth P1.5M; and the construction of Nangcalapan Hanging Bridge in Barangay Salinas and equipment rental (excavator) in Barangay Cupaz of Bambang, both in Nueva Vizcaya, in the amount of P5M.

###qcpaiso
