MANILA — The Quezon City government on Friday hailed the city’s athletes for becoming champions in the basketball and volleyball sports fest in the National Capital Region, which was held to promote a drug-free and youth-oriented community.

The city government gave recognition to the QC Stars Basketball Juniors and Women’s Volleyball team for clinching the basketball and volleyball championship title in the Metro Manila Sports Fest.

The Junior Stars were lauded as the North Division and Metro Basketball Tournament Under-16 division champion after defeating 15 other teams.
