Rains to continue over southern Luzon, Visayas Sunday

MANILA — Southern Luzon and Visayas will continue to experience rains due to southwest monsoon.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will prevail over Mimaropa and western Visayas.

Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Bicol and the rest of Visayas will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms.

Mindanao, northern and central Luzon, on the other hand, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds will blow over the western section of southern Luzon. Its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Moderate to occasionally strong winds will prevail over Visayas, Mindanao and the rest of Southern Luzon. Coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (Ma. Cristina Arayata/PNA)
