Rains over Luzon Wednesday due to LPA trough

By Ma. Cristina Arayata | Philippine News Agency

MANILA — Luzon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms on Wednesday due to the trough of a low pressure area (LPA).

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPA was last spotted 195 km southwest of Sinait, Ilocos Sur.

Meanwhile, another LPA was spotted 335 km east of Aparri, Cagayan.

The rest of the country, on the other hand, will continue to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, moderate winds will prevail over extreme northern Luzon, where coastal waters will be moderate.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said.
