Rains to continue across PH due to ITCZ

By Ma. Cristina Arayata | Philippine News Agency

Many areas in the country will continue to experience rains due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), the weather bureau said Wednesday, July 6.

In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the Visayas, Bicol region, Northern Mindanao, Palawan, and the Zamboanga Peninsula will have scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides are likely during moderate to at times heavy rains, PAGASA said.
The rest of the country will experience isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the bureau said light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail across the archipelago. – gb
