RevGov ‘does not enjoy any support’ from government – Palace

Malacañang clarified on Monday that the government is not currently supporting and prioritizing the revolutionary government being proposed by several groups.

“Hindi po natin kinakailangan ang revolutionary government sa ngayon. Ganoon pa man, ang mga nagsusulong po niyan ay mayroon naman po silang karapatan nang malayang pamamahayag so hayaan na po natin sila (We do not need a revolutionary government now. However, those proposing it have the right to free speech so we just let them be),” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque emphasized.

“Ang importante po, malinaw po na iyan po ay isang pribadong initiative at iyan po ay hindi kabahagi ng priorities ng ating Pangulo sa ngayon (What is important is it’s clear that it’s a private initiative and not among the President’s priorities for now)…It does not enjoy any support from the government right now,” Sec. Roque added.

He clarified that Federalism is a different matter from a revolutionary government.
It is unlikely that those proposing such type of government will face sedition charges as there is no “clear and present danger.” – Report from Mela Lesmoras
