‘Rosita’-affected families now at 65.3K: NDRRMC

MANILA — The number of families affected by Typhoon “Rosita” has climbed to 65,340, which is equivalent to 254, 454 persons residing in 1,381 barangays in Regions 1, 2, 3, 8 and the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).

This was disclosed by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council in its 6 a.m. update on Monday, signed by NDRRMC executive director Ricardo Jalad.

Of the number, around 135 families or 466 persons are still being aided in 15 evacuation centers.

The number of confirmed fatalities, meanwhile, remained at 11, with two injured and one reported missing in CAR and Region 4A.

Houses damaged by “Rosita” now stand at 7,904 — with 7,049 partially and 855 totally — in Regions 1, 2, 3, 8 and CAR.

The number of affected road sections were placed at 105 along with 10 bridges at Regions 2, 3, and the CAR.

Of the figures, 27 road sections in Region 2 and the CAR remain not passable, along with one bridge.
