Russia warns of ‘serious’ risk of WW3

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said Monday, April 25, the unceasing “proxy war” between Russia and Ukraine could further escalate into a global conflict.

Lavrov also said that the North Atlantic Treaty Organization is “in essence” already in a “proxy war” against Russia.

The statement came after United States officials’ recent visit in Kyiv, Ukraine where they expressed support for Ukraine by providing additional military assistance, adding that Ukrainian forces have a chance of victory against Russia.

Meanwhile, the German Defense Ministry also showed support by sending anti-aircraft tanks to Ukraine.

“We decided yesterday that we will support Ukraine with anti-aircraft systems, which is exactly what Ukraine needs now to secure the airspace from the ground,” German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht said.

It is the first time Germany will send heavy weapons to the country.
