SAP second tranche distribution begins

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has rolled out its distribution of the second tranche of the social amelioration program (SAP).

The 1,300,000 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiary cash holders will be receiving their cash assistance today while the rollout of subsidy for the five million “waitlisted” or those who have not received the aid on the first tranche is set to start next week.

Based on data, the DSWD has so far released Php 99.8 billion for 17.6 million beneficiaries.

Regarding the data on liquidation, 1,111 LGUs have already submitted reports while 223 are yet to complete theirs.

The DSWD assured the simultaneous roll out of aid and gathering of validation will not be a problem.

“Mauuna po ang mga benepisyaryo ng 4Ps. Kung sakali po kasing madoble ang ayuda nila, maari po kasing mabawi ang ibinigay sa kanilang benepisyo sa 4Ps (4Ps beneficiaries will come first. In case their aid gets doubled, their benefits from 4Ps may be taken back),” DSWD Sec. Roland Bautista said.
