SC suspends Gadon, seeks explanation why he shouldn’t be disbarred

By Pearl Gumapos

The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday (Jan. 4) has ordered the preventive suspension of lawyer Larry Gadon, and ordered him to show cause on why he should not be disbarred over the viral video of him badmouthing a journalist.

The viral video happened last year Dec. 15 which showed Gadon uttering profanities against Raissa Robles.

According to the SC, Gadon had previously “publicly displayed the same kind of behavior, for which he is currently facing disbarment complaints before the Court and the IBP [Integrated Bar of the Philippines].”

The SC has also directed the Office of the Bar Confidant to “submit an updated list of the pending administrative cases against Gadon,” while the IBP was directed to submit within 10 days a status report of the administrative cases against Gadon pending before the IBP. – with reports from Kenneth Paciente-ag
