Scattered rainshowers to prevail over PH Saturday

MANILA — Scattered rainshowers will prevail over the archipelago due to the tail-end of a cold front affecting extreme northern Luzon, and the easterlies affecting the eastern part of the country, the state weather bureau said Saturday morning.

The tail-end of a cold front will cause cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Batanes and the Babuyan Group of Islands, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over eastern Visayas, Bicol, Cagayan, Aurora and Quezon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, said PAGASA.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds will prevail over northern Luzon, and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, the bureau added. (Ma. Cristina Arayata/PNA)
