COTABATO CITY – A private school administrator was arrested for possession of suspected shabu in Midsayap, North Cotabato on Saturday night.

Chief Supt. Eliseo Tam Rasco, police regional director for Central Mindanao, identified the suspect as Julius Caesar Dadiro Duque, administrator of the Great and Mighty Learning Center of Midsayap, Incorporated.

He said Duque had been placed on a month-long surveillance by anti-drug operatives after some drug personalities arrested earlier pointed to him as their “supplier” in the area.

Duque was arrested inside the school compound after Midsayap police and soldiers from the Army’s 34th Infantry Battalion served search warrants against him for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act) around 7:30 p.m.

Rasco said recovered from Duque were four sachets of suspected shabu and 48 empty sachets with shabu residue.

“The suspect is now detained at the Midsayap police lock up cell,” the police official said.

On Sunday, police also arrested Maitdo Namle, 29, in drug buy-bust operation at 9 p.m. in Barangay Osias, Kabacan, North Cotabato.

Seized from Namle were two sachets of suspected shabu, PHP500 marked money and shabu paraphernalia. (Edwin Fernandez/PNA)
