Sen. Angara tests positive for COVID-19

Senator Sonny Angara has tested positive for Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Thursday. He is the third senator to contract the virus.

According to the senator, he has been feeling symptoms such as mild fever, cough, headache and general weakness.

He was tested on March 16 and have not been in contact with anyone since then.

In a released statement, Sen. Angara further shared, “I ask for your prayers that together we are able to pull through this tremendous challenge.

Let us continue to support all efforts to fight the further spread of the virus. Let us support our frontliners on the streets, in the emergency rooms as they are key to the effort.

With hope, sacrifice, and unity of effort, we shall overcome.”

Other senators who initially tested positive for COVID-19 are Sen. Migz Zubiri and Sen. Koko Pimentel.
