Senate conducts inquiry on alleged PhilHealth irregularities

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III was questioned by the Senate earlier at today’s hearing (September 5, 2019) over alleged corruption within the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth). Other than the P153.7 billion worth of overpayment scheme, the issues on Philhealth’s structural problems and allegations of Sec. Duque’s conflict of interest were also raised.
