In the course of the Senate hearing on the Good Conduct Time Allowance Law, an effective solution in fighting corruption in the New Bilibid Prison cropped up. Former PNP-CIDG Chief Mayor Benjamin Magalong proposed the transformation to digital governance and full-computerization of the records system in the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) to easily monitor inmates. The high tech security system which would cost Php300 to 400 million will be inserted under the modernization program of the Department of Justice budget which will be deliberated on Monday, 23 September 2019.
