Sex Ed to be included in students’ online learning module

The subject Sex Education is set to be included in the online learning module of the students.

This was stated by Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM) Executive Director Juan Antonio Perez III following the estimated rise in the population of the Philippines in the year 2021.

According to Exec. Dir. Perez, the Department of Education (DepEd) started its coordination since October with its regional offices regarding the inclusion of the Comprehensive Sexuality Education in the online learning modalities.

Ilocos, Central Visayas, and the Davao Region are the areas prioritized for the subject’s launch since they have the highest incidence of adolescent pregnancy. -PTV News
