Shopping centers now allowed to open in Cebu City

Cebu City Mayor Edgar Labella has informed mall managers that shopping centers are now allowed to open after the city was placed under Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ).

In an Executive Order issued by Mayor Labella, malls are now allowed to operate starting July 17 while leisure establishments such as cinemas, gyms, and barbershops remain closed. Restaurants and fast food chains are still restricted. Public transportation is not yet allowed to resume under MECQ.

The local government chief has emphasized the strict compliance to health protocols along with the opening of several establishments. – Report from John Aroa
