SoCot town hosts Amyak Maleh mountain bike challenge

DAVAO CITY — The town of Tupi in South Cotabato will hold the annual 2018 Amyak Maleh Mountain Bike Challenge on March 25 in celebration of the 23rd anniversary of Matutum Protected Landscape.

The categories are Elite Junsen (29 years old and below), Veterans (30-39), Master (40-49), Grandmaster (50 and above), Fatboys (38 inches waistline), Ladies Open, Funride A (19 and below), Funride B (20-29), Funride C (30-39), Funride D (40-49) and Funride E (50 and above).

Cash prizes and medals are up for grabs. The champion in the Elite will pocket PHP4,000 while the second and third placers will get PHP2,500 and PHP1,500, respectively

The top three winners in the Junsen will earn PHP2,500, PHP1,500, and PHP1,000 while in the Veterans are PHP2,000, PHP1,500 and PHP1,000.

The top three placers in the Master, Grandmaster, Fatboys and Ladies Open will be awarded PHP2,000, PHP1,500 and PHP1,000.

The 4th to 10th finishers will each get a medal. Medals will also be awarded to the top 10 finishers in the two special categories exclusively for Tupi Mountain Bike Association (TUMBA) active members only — 39 and below and 40 and up.

The biggest delegation will receive a special prize of PHP3,000.
