Southwest monsoon to bring scattered rains over most parts of PH

MANILA — The southwest monsoon affecting south Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will bring cloudy skies with scattered rains over these areas, weather forecaster Meno Mendoza said Saturday.

Metro Manila and other parts of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.

Mendoza added that the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) is monitoring a low-pressure area (LPA), which was last eyed at 1,495 km. east of northern Luzon.

PAGASA is not expecting the LPA ro enter the Philippine area of responsibility, he said. (Ma. Cristina Arayata/PNA)
