SSS offers assistance to unemployed members

Members of the Social Security System (SSS) who lost their jobs due to the Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic may now apply for the unemployment benefit online.

Qualified members include employees, housekeepers and Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who have paid 36 monthly contributions and are not over 60 years old. The SSS has advised its members to register in my.sss account, enter their phone number and wait for the advisory or text on how to get the benefit.
