Please note the recommendations presented refer to countries / areas (apart from UK) that have and will report the UK new variant.

1. Strict mandatory quarantine for countries that report new variant: Travellers coming from countries/areas (i.e to date, Hongkong, Singapore, Australia, Japan) with confirmed new variant shall undergo mandatory completion of the 14-day quarantine regardless of RT-PCR test results.

2. Countries with local community transmission of new variant: Consider travel restrictions only when transmission of new variant is at the community level.

What happens to the travel restrictions for UK after the effectivity period (ends on dec 31, 2020) will be discussed in the IATF along with the new risk classification. Kindly asking your cooperation so as not to add confusion.
