Studies reveal COVID-19’s long term side effects

Studies have shown that acquiring the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is associated with long term side effects.

In a public briefing, Philippine Society of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology (PSAAI) President Dr. Rommel Lobo pointed out that some individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 experience shortness of breath, weak immune system, and brain fog.

Dr. Lobo reminded that the deadly disease must not be taken lightly given the possibility of long term side effects that can affect a person who had it.

He also reiterated the importance of vaccination to further strengthen the public’s protection against the virus.
