SWS: Hunger in the Philippines dropped in 3rd quarter, 2019

The Social Weather Stations (SWS)’s hunger survey in September 2019 shows that involuntary starvation suffered by Filipino families is down to 9.1% (2.3 million families estimate) compared to June 2019’s figure of 10% (2.5 million families estimate). Moderate hunger also fell from 8.7% (2.1 million families estimate) in June 2019 to 7.4% (1.8 million families estimate) in September 2019. The study involved 1,800 respondents and was conducted from 27 to 30 September 2019.
