Target-listed drug suspects fall in Koronadal

GENERAL SANTOS CITY — Police authorities arrested two target-listed drug pushers in a buy-bust operation Wednesday dawn in a housing village in Koronadal City.

Supt. Benjiel Kirby Bajo, Koronadal City police chief, said live-in partners Marvin Dajay, 32, and Rosebin Ontong, 24, were nabbed at around 4:15 a.m. at the vicinity of Agan Homes Subdivision in Barangay Sta. Cruz.

During the entrapment, Bajo said the suspects sold a sachet of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu worth PHP1,000 to a police officer who posed as a buyer.

Bajo said the two also yielded three medium to large-sized plastic packs, and nine small sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P16,000 and various drug paraphernalia.

“They are both from other areas but transferred to the city because of their illegal activities,” the police official said.

Dajay was listed as a resident of Barangay D’Lotilla, Isulan town in Sultan Kudarat while Ontong was from Barangay Maculan in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato.

He said the two were known drug pushers and included on their target list of drug personalities.

Investigators have submitted the recovered evidence to the regional crime laboratory for proper examination.

The suspects, who are detained at the Koronadal City police station lockup, will be charged with selling and possession of dangerous drugs as well as possession of drug paraphernalia. (Alejandro Saludo/PNA)
