The Philippine National Kickboxing Team will don again the Philippine tricolors in the upcoming 31st Southeast Asian Games (SEA) Games in Hanoi, Vietnam from May 12 to 23.

Samahang Kickboxing ng Pilipinas President Sen. Francis Tolentino believes that the 12-member Philippine Kickboxing Team will be one of the groups that will give glory to the country in the biennial sportsfest.

“Kasama po ng sambayan ang Philippine Kickboxing team para magbigay muli ng karangalan sa bansa,” Tolentino said.

Tolentino also praised the Filipino athletes for being role models because of their sacrifices and discipline to provide honor to the country.

“Higit sa napipintong tagumpay, ang kanilang sakripisyo sa pagasasanay at pagpapakita ng disiplina, ay mga natatanging kaugaliang Pilipino na kailangan natin sa kaunlaran,” he said

Meanwhile, they will also banner the country in vovinam led by 2019 SEA Games Gold medalist Gina Iniong, silver medalists Jenelyn Olsim and Zephanua Ngaya for women’s vovinam, while Danny Kingan, Carlo Buminaang, and Renato Cha Jr. will represent the country in the men’s vovinam. – ag
