Tropical Storm Huaning briefly stayed in PAR

Tropical Storm Huaning exits the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), just a few hours after it entered the PAR on Saturday (August 7).

In the latest weather bulletin by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued at 5:00 p.m., it said Huaning is unlikely to directly affect the weather condition and bring heavy rainfall in the country throughout the forecast period.

“The latest forecast scenario for  Huaning shows that the hoisting of Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals over any land area in the country is unlikely,” the bulletin reads.

However, the southwest monsoon that it enhances will continue to bring strong winds (strong breeze to near-gale) with higher gusts over Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Apayao, and Abra.

According to an earlier bulletin, Huaning made a landfall in the vicinity of Hsinchu City in Taiwan.

Huaning became the second tropical cyclone that entered the PAR this month.

According to PAGASA, there are two to three cyclones that are likely to enter the PAR in August. (PAGASA) / CF – rir
