Trough of LPA to bring rains in Mindanao

MANILA — The trough of a low-pressure area (LPA) would bring rains to Mindanao until about Tuesday afternoon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Monday.

In its 4-p.m. weather bulletin, which is effective for 24 hours, PAGASA said Caraga, Davao, and the provinces of Samar and Bukidnon would experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms due to the trough of an LPA. It cautioned of possible flooding or landslides caused by light to moderate with occasional heavy rains in these areas.

Local thunderstorms will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers in Metro Manila and the other parts of the country.

Slight to moderate coastal waters will also prevail over the whole county due to light to moderate winds. (PNA)
