Ukrainian citizens continue to flee Ukraine seeking safety

By Pearl Gumapos

Civilians from Ukraine who find themselves caught in the middle of the conflict with Russia continue to flee the country, seeking protection for themselves and their families.

An emotional video of such was shared on Sunday (Feb. 27), showing two Ukrainian mothers who met at the Ukrain-Hungary border.

Footage shows how one of the mothers brought the other’s son and daughter to the other.

Russia’s invasion of Ukraine started on Feb. 24.

This led to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy declaring martial law throughout the country. (video courtesy of Voice of America) – bny
