US Sec. Blinken visits Palace

United States (US) Secretary of State Antony Blinken visited the Malacañan Palace on Saturday morning to pay a courtesy call on President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

President Marcos stressed the significance of having strong ties with the United States, he said he is hopeful that the two countries’ strong relationship will remain in the future.

He also expressed gratitude to the US for their initiatives in addressing the needs of the country.

Meanwhile, Blinken is expected to attend other activities during his state visit.

Blinken is scheduled to meet with the Department of Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo and hold a joint virtual press conference with him.
