Voter registration extended to 5 p.m.

More registered voters are expected for the upcoming elections after the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) extended voter registration hours to 5 p.m.

Based on the last advisory of COMELEC, Offices of the Election Officer (OEOs) nationwide will open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to accept applications starting February 15.

The registration hour extension covers Tuesdays to Saturdays, including holidays. Sundays and Mondays will be used for regular disinfection of facilities.

The COMELEC is urging the public to register and practice their right to vote. The Philippine national elections will be held on May 9, 2022. – Report from Mela Lesmoras
