MANILA – Warm and humid weather will continue to prevail over most parts of the country on Thursday, March 24, the weather bureau said.

“Due to the easterlies, warm and humid weather will be experienced, especially at noon. Isolated rains are likely in the afternoon or evening,” Grace Castañeda of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

Castañeda urged the public to stay indoors and limit outdoor activities. When outdoors, she said people should wear light clothes and drink water.

Metro Manila’s temperature is up to 34 °C; Tuguegarao up to 33 °C; Legazpi, the Kalayaan Islands, Puerto Princesa up to 32 °C.

The northeasterly surface wind flow affecting northern Luzon will cause light rains over the Cordillera Administrative Region and Cagayan Valley and isolated light rains over the Ilocos Region.

The rest of the country will experience fair weather.

Zamboanga’s temperature is up to 34 °C; Tacloban, Iloilo up to 32 °C; Cagayan de Oro up to 31 °C.

No weather disturbance is seen to affect the country, Castañeda said.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will be experienced over northern Luzon.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas. (PNA) – bny
